The Neuroimaging Laboratory at the Howard Florey Institute is using human and animal brain imaging techniques to investigate clinical and basic neuroscience research questions. These include how a variety of functions change with variation in hormone levels, and whether neurobiological changes can be observed prior to the onset of physical symptoms in sufferers of diseases such as Huntington's or Alzheimer's disease.
VeRSI is supplying crucial integration and networking capabilities, in addition to building:
- a metadata query engine
- a metadata editor for neuroimaging data sets and federation capability
- a user interface to view the neuroimaging data
