Neuroimaging Informatics

The Neuroimaging group at the Howard Florey Institute is using human and animal brain imaging techniques to investigate clinical and basic neuroscience research questions. These include how a variety of functions change with variation in hormone levels, and whether neurobiological changes can be observed prior to the onset of physical symptoms in sufferers of diseases such as Huntington's or Alzheimer's disease.
VeRSI has been working with the Neuroimaging group at Howard Florey Institute to develop and validate a data model. VeRSI has also developed a customised web-based interface that reflects and understands this data model. The interface also allows users to create data to add to the repository.
To understand the benefits in the context of the research please read the case study on this work.
